A/K/A - Momma's Boy

Duncan joined our family in July of 2002. Pamela was doing research on the internet (Always Dangerous) about Wolfhound Rescue groups in our area. She emailed a person just East of Syracuse just to get information mind you about rescues. The next thing we know she gets a call as says she has a 7 year old boy coming in tomorrow. Apparently his family, who had him since he was a pup, decided he did not have a place in their new house and they dropped him off at their local rescue group. She said if we would like Duncan, we could set up an appointment to met him. So Pamela drove out their the next day, just to look mind you and came home with our biggest boy ever! Now the scary thing was that we found out we were pregnant with Elizabeth 2 weeks later!!!!

Well, Duncan adjusted well to our household. Actually he was in heaven living with 3 long leggy-chicks... When Lizzy was born, he was the one who took to her first. We would lay at the bottom of the stairs when she slept. No one was going to get to "his" baby. A funny thing he would do was when Pamela was feeding lizzy, he would come over and gently lick her feet. Not a huge slobber with his tongue, just the tip, letting her know he was there and would protect her.
